LIFEHAMMER® is the worldwide “category leader” in car safety accessories. As an in-house graphic designer, I was responsible for all their visual needs. Some examples are packaging design, leaflets, posters, (digital) advertising and maintaining the website. Also, I participated in product development (concepts and product graphics) and marketing activities like designing and organizing our trade show booths.
We worked together with several agencies. The LIFEHAMMER® identity was developed by Design Bridge, Product and packaging design of LIFEHAMMER® Plus and Evolution are done by Flex/theInnovationlab and the booths were build by HEKO projecten.
I designed small displays to place on the counter in stores like ANWB. The display was shipped completely flat to keep kosts low. It’s easy to assemble and made to fit a variety of product combinations. Also the display is having a grey and a white side so the store owner can pick what fits their interiour. Also, the top is printed dubble sided.
I designed the packaging for the Lifehammer Classic, Safety vest, Safety belt, and Safety Torch. I designed the cardboard parts and the product designer the plastic parts. Esspecially working for the Safety vest was fun because of experimenting with the vacuum bags. This makes it possible to fit them under te floormat of your car so it’s always withing reach.
We showcased the products on the Automechanika in Frankfurt and APEX in Las Vegas.
For both shows I designed a booth together with the productdesinger. Also I coordinated with the producer, tradeshow organisation and shipping company.
